I LOVED it, but holy shit the amount of time I spent on it. I was shaking when he died.Ĩ) Finally getting LuShang's rod, seriously, fuck that. If I remember correctly, the fight wasn't going my way and 2 friends a PLD and RDM managed to get to me as I was about to die. Requested backup and right then someone else came in and I had to pull. I was waiting for the pop, it popped and I was the only one there. It was such a great feeling.Ĥ) Camping Lord of Onzozo for my Octave Club. We played from like 9pm to 4am but got all 3 cleared with the same group. This was before there was any serious guides on them and there were questions about what did what. Played on and off for a number of years, best memories:ġ) Being relatively early on in the game in high school I stumbled into a group that was doing the 3 promy missions. I love XIV a lot, but XI was a truly unique experience, and there's probably never going to be a MMO like it again. But that's also why XI relics were super powerful and borderline OP in some cases. I didn't complete my Mythic until salvage was soloable, but it's still a grind that makes XIV's relic grinds look like a vacation.

I laugh at anyone in XIV when they complain about it's relic grind. Big accomplishment for me was finally finishing the Summoner Mythic Weapon, Nirvana. My main was Summoner, and I also main Summoner in FFXIV, but man it's just not as fun as hanging out with the giant avatars. I remember farming one of the gob-bag increase items in Sacrarium when most people were unable to progress past the Ouyru fight because it was stupidly difficult. Becoming some of the first to get to sea. When some of the Chains of Promatica fights were borderline impossible and people couldn't progress we managed it. First ones to defeat Vrtra and Jorgumand (we actually fought this one for about 8 hours one day and failed). First ones to defeat Jailer of Love and spawn AV. I had a great linkshell that was able to do a lot of the high end stuff, and we even had a few server-firsts. I played on and off (mostly on) since the original launch and stopped shortly after I stopped shortly after Rhapsodies finished up.
